After yesterday’s adventures, the big weariness come down on me today. Probably it was partly relief, partly anxiety and partly just the effect of a long year with lots of doctors. Nevertheless, I’m starting to sleep better, only waking up once or twice a night. It makes all the difference. The pain is abating and I think I will get through this latest episode without taking any painkillers at all.
Swim at Manly with snorkel and flippers this morning was very enjoyable but uneventful. I’m so relieved to be able to get back in the water again.
Wednesday was my week in the gym where I wasn’t under Belinda’s supervision so I could do what I pleased. What I did was get in touch with my inner lazy basted and did very little. I felt so fatigued I skipped the bike altogether and went straight to the leg press machine. The rest of it was very uninspiring:
Leg Press………………….10 reps x 50kg both legs warm up
Leg Press………………….10 reps x 60kg both legs
Leg Press………………….10 reps x 70kg x 2 both legs
Leg Press………………….10 reps x 80kg x 2 both legs
Walking lunges……………20
Jump turns…………………20
Jacob’s ladder…………….5 mins at 80 steps per min
Thank goodness, She Who Must Be Obeyed was not in the gym. I would have got roundly chastised for sloth. I felt so ashamed I snuck hurriedly out of the gym after my shower.
